1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and provide information to the website owners. This policy also covers similar storage technologies used in our mobile application.
2. How We Use Cookies (Website)
Our website (admin dashboard and public pages) uses cookies for the following purposes:
- To authenticate admin users and maintain login sessions
- To protect against cross-site request forgery (CSRF)
- To ensure security and prevent unauthorized access
3. Cookies We Set
3.1 Essential Cookies (Required)
These cookies are necessary for the admin dashboard to function. They are set by NextAuth.js for authentication:
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| authjs.session-token | Admin dashboard session authentication | 30 days |
| authjs.csrf-token | CSRF protection for form submissions | Session |
| authjs.callback-url | Redirect URL after authentication | Session |
3.2 No Analytics or Advertising Cookies
We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, or any third-party analytics cookies on our website. We do not set any advertising, tracking, or preference cookies. Our website only uses the essential authentication cookies listed above.
4. Mobile App Local Storage
Our mobile application does not use browser cookies. Instead, it uses AsyncStorage (a key-value storage system) to store the following data locally on your device:
| Storage Key | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Access token | JWT token for API authentication |
| Refresh token | Token for renewing expired access tokens |
| Token expiry | Timestamp for automatic token refresh |
| User profile cache | Cached user data for offline display |
| Device ID | Generated identifier for telemetry (not a hardware ID) |
| App settings | Language preference and cached remote settings |
This data is stored in the app's sandboxed storage and is removed when you uninstall the App or clear the app's data through your device settings.
5. Third-Party SDK Storage
The following third-party SDKs integrated in our mobile App may use their own local storage:
- Google AdMob: May store ad-related identifiers and preferences on your device for ad serving and frequency capping
- Firebase Cloud Messaging: Stores the FCM registration token for push notification delivery
These third parties have their own privacy policies governing how they use stored information. Please review Google's Privacy Policy for details.
6. Managing Cookies and Storage
Website
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Since we only use essential authentication cookies, disabling them will prevent you from logging into the admin dashboard.
Mobile App
To clear the mobile App's stored data, you can:
- Log out of the App (clears authentication tokens)
- Clear app data through your device's Settings → Apps → Dalwadi Samaj → Clear Data
- Uninstall the App (removes all locally stored data)
- Manage ad personalization through your device's ad settings
7. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie & Storage Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
